Join Christina and TidePools team members for an engaging overview of BlueAct Marine Society's impactful work. BlueAct, a charitable subsidiary of the Gibsons Community Building Society, is dedicated to supporting an educated community that actively cares for the health of our ocean. Christina will outline BlueAct's three core spheres of operation: conservation, education, and community engagement. Learn about their conservation projects in Átl'ḵa7tsem / Howe Sound and the Salish Sea, including the Healthy Harbour Project partnership with the Town of Gibsons. Discover the exciting educational programs offered at TidePools Aquarium, including youth science camps and experiential marine science programs for K-12 students. Explore BlueAct’s community-focused initiatives centred around the Gibsons Public Market, including the community aquarium.
